About the Event
Program description: During this 8 week session, kids will get a chance to build a wood doll house, design a floor plan and colour scheme (complete with fabric swatches), then decorate the inside and outside - from wallpaper to shingles. We’ll walk through each step together, finding inspiration for our designs in a variety of ways, but ultimately getting to create their own vision from start to finish! At the end, each child takes home their own dream house!
About the Facilitator:
Amanda is a lifelong crafter (and craft supply hoarder), who has a passion for sharing the arts with everyone and making it accessible for all. She is a trained Child & Youth Worker, mom to 2 tweens, and believes that sometimes we all just need to get a bit messy (no matter how old we are!) Before creating Do Good Oxford, Amanda had a fulfilling career serving and advocating for those most vulnerable in the Oxford County community. And now is cultivating opportunities throughout Oxford for people to come together, learn, create and grow.
For ages 7-14.Â
